About Manual Keratometer

Manual keratometer is an equipment which is used to gauge the curvature of the eyes front surface (cornea). This measurement is crucial for figuring out how strong of a pair of glasses or contact lenses is required to correct eyesight. Two eyepieces on this device have scales on them to indicate how much curvature is there. The eye is positioned so that the cornea can be seen through the eyepieces when the device is set up on the nose bridge. The final measurement is then calculated by averaging the values from the two eyepieces. Manual kerometer is highly durable and efficient.
